At these appointments you go into three different exam rooms. The first room we entered was a general exam. The doctor was not very friendly and basically ripped Ava's clothes off her to examine her skin. Our poor baby just cried and cried. My poor Mom could hear her crying from the hallway. We went back into the hallway where we continued to feel like cattled being herded. The other exams were for her eyes, ears and measurements. Ava weighed in at 22 lbs at 10 months! There are 2 year olds in our group that weigh less than her. She is the youngest in our group by over a year so she getting quite a bit of attention.
The number of families in that office was unbelievable. Some had some pretty severe special needs. Ava did really well and continues to amaze us everyday. She is so fun and makes us laugh all the time. She has bonded so well to Brian and my Mom now which has made things easier for me. The first few days I could not leave her sight. Now she lets Daddy hold her and take her for walks just the two of them. Tomorrow we will do more touring. We are going to another Buddhist temple where she will be blessed by a Monk along with the jade we bought her. The jade will bring her more luck if blessed by a Monk.
