Our little ham

Whenever I pick up the camera Ava gets ready to pose!  The smiles start and she makes her cute little faces.  She has the best little personality and has us laughing all the time.  The information we received from her SWI said she can be stubborn at time; they weren't kidding!  When she doesn't want something she just shakes her head no no no! Sometimes she gives us a good scream when she is mad but we seem to be curbing that one.  She is so easy though and such a joy to be with.  She loves to be out in public and is very nosey!!  She has bonded with us so well and is thriving!  She has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger already; he is very proud!  For a guy who has never really been around babies he is amazing with her!  Now if I could just get him to change a diaper!  We were watching her sleep the other day and I just started to cry.  Finally, we are complete!  We are so very lucky to have her as our daughter.

Her shirt says it all...absolutely worth the wait!

Ava has claimed Brian's iPhone as her own.  She usually will not let it out of her sight!  Don't try to take it from her or there will be a price to pay.  Years ago Brian and I created a playlist of songs that made us think of Ava.  I would play it when the wait would get really tough.  It reminded me of why we were waiting.  One of the songs is Somewhere over the rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.  The first night we had Ava we remembered that her paperwork said she loved music so Brian played that song for her; she loved it!  We put it on continuous play and have heard it now about 3,000 times!  When she hears it she just stops whatever she is doing.  When we put her down to sleep she holds the phone and listens to it play.  The other day while holding her I sang Somewhere over the rainbow to her; she hummed along.  It was so sweet it brought me to tears.
