We visited the Great Wall of China today. We climbed to the first tower in this picture. Not to bad considering we have a bad knee and hip between us. It was so cold! There was still ice and snow on the wall from a storm a week ago. Some of the steps were about knee high! Not easy to climb and even harder to understand how it was built in 2000 b.c.

We have a great travel group! One family is from Jacksonville as well. We are the only non-special needs family so Ava is much younger than their children. They also waited a fraction of the time that we did.
The Great Wall was amazing to see and climb. Im so glad Brian encouraged me up to the top. As hard as it was to get to the top it was even harder to get back down! Our legs were shaking so badly and felt like they would just give out.
