Ava is in Wanzai County in the Jiangxi Province of China. Jiangxi is a poor province with some of the lowest wages in all of China. Rice is a dominate crop. Wanzai means "10,000 loads" which is related to its past importance as a trade center. Wanzai is located along the Long He River (means dragon river); the county was settled more than 3,000 years ago. Wanzai's main industry is fireworks (Uncle Dan should love that) and rice liquor distillation.
