Our US Consulate appointment is the reason we came to Guangzhou. On Wednesday we went to the US Consulate office to apply for Ava's US Visa. Without this, we can't bring her home. There were many other families there along with us. We took an oath saying all of our paperwork was complete and true. Each family then had to go to a bank teller type window to review all of the info. Our guide Grace helped Brian prepare all the paperwork a few days earlier. Honestly, our guides were our lifesavers. They handle and arrange everything! They simply tell us where we need to be, when we need to be there and what we need to bring. I got Ava all dressed up for her big appointment. As usual, she was a hit! The woman who handled our paperwork had other employees come over to see Ava. She was all smiles and flirting as always. Tomorrow Grace will pick up Ava's passport with her Visa so we can head to Hong Kong and begin our journey home!
