Wait Times

It looks like wait times will continue to increase. In a recent email from our agency we were told that the CCAA is addressing the increase in wait times. They are trying to take effort to get the wait times back down but we dont know when that will take place. Our agency is now listing a 16-24 month wait from the time dossier's are sent to China. The times could also decrease as well. Many families are switching from the non special needs program (this is the list we are on) to the special needs program. Families are also switching to other countries due to the wait time.

As for us we are now 3 months, 2 weeks and 4 days into our wait. Our dossier has been translated by the CCAA and is waiting to be moved into the review room. Our agency was informed that the CCAA has almost completed the review of dossiers recieved in Febuary 2006. If the CCAA has any questions about our dossier they will be addressed while in the review room. After we pass review we are moved to the matching room to sit and collect dust until the get to 9/18/06 LID's.

The CCAA updated their site 2 days ago. The pic is from their site and reflects the most recent referral batch.
