Our very good friend Angel emailed me her wish the other day. She spent days thinking about exactly what she wanted to write. Ava is already a very special little girl to Angel even though she is not here yet. I asked if I could share her wish here and she said yes. She is very excited to have everyone read it. We havent recieved her fabric yet but it is a star print.
Ava,
My wish for you is to long and hard to put in to words but I will give it my best. I wish everything for you. I wish you happiness, love, kindness , wealth and the ability to realize how special you are. I wish you find the love your parents share. It is so special and rare and now complete because of you. You need to remember how special and loved you are. Ava you filled everyone’s hearts before you even arrived. That is a very powerful thing.
I want to explain to you why I chose the star. A star represents many things. A star is something you wish upon, you gaze at, you dream of seeing and holding. A star is also mysterious and a journey away. You are all of those things right now to your parents. Soon however you will become a shooting star. You will shoot straight into mommy and daddy’s lives. You will turn their lives upside down (as every child does). They will make wishes for you. Their dreams of seeing you, holding you will come true. The journey will be over but the mystery begins. The mystery of this love that they will have. It is mysterious because its such a strong love that you can’t even begin to figure it out. The mystery's of raising a child begins.
Ava there are no rules or manuals for raising children. If there was a Manual it would have one word LOVE. Let me tell you your mommy and daddy have plenty of that so your in good hands. I guess what I am saying after all of this, my wish is for you to remember how loved you are.
