In October I finally got my red thread bracelet. Many families who adopt from China wear them. The idea came from the proverb at the top of the blog. I will wear it until we travel to China to get Ava and then put it away for her to have someday. The charm has the Chinese character for happiness on it. My Mom also ordered one and plans on wearing hers until Ava comes home too.
