On October 9, 2006 we FINALLY recieved information regarding our dossier's status. Here's the e-mail we recieved from our agency!

We are happy to report that your dossier was registered in China on September 18, 2006. You are a member of the September 2006 LID Group. We are offically one month into our estimated 14 month wait for Ava. Unfortunately the wait could get longer...we are keeping our fingers crossed that it doesnt get to much longer. The China Center of Adoption Affairs updates their site monthly which allows us to keep track of how long our wait will be. In the month of September they referred children to families with a log in date up to August 9, 2005. We are excited that we are finally at this stage in our adoption. Our next phase is to endure the long wait and finally bring Ava home!
